Roppongi

Roppongi Hills

Roppongi is best known for its night-life and as a hangout for western tourists and expatriates as most of its restaurants and nightclubs cater for English-speaking tourists. There are also clubs here known as hostess clubs that cater for Japanese businessmen employing young western women to be with the businessmen, these places are expensive and sleazy, so it’s best to make sure you are entering the correct place when venturing out for a few drinks.

Roppongi is also known as the home to a new shopping and dining complex known as Roppongi Hills as well as the Hard Rock Cafe or Tokyo City View and Mori Art Museum in Mori Tower. Not far south west from Roppongi is the famous Tokyo Tower that was styled after France’s Eiffel Tower and the Zojoji Temple. The easiest way to get to Roppongi is via the Hibiya Subway line to Roppongi Station.
