JR Central Ttowers

Located in Nagoya’s Meieki district, JR Central Towers stand above Nagoya Station, one of the world’s largest train stations.

Completed in 1999, the twin towers serve as the headquarters of JR Central and house Nagoya’s main train station. The complex also features a variety of department stores, shops, and a luxury hotel, making it a key hub for both transportation and shopping.

If you’re arriving in Nagoya by train, this is where you’ll disembark. Nagoya Station is home to the Shinkansen (bullet train) terminal, connecting the city to major destinations across Japan. The station also serves the Nagoya City Subway and is adjacent to other railway networks, including Meitetsu, Kintetsu, and the Aonami Line. Like many Japanese cities, Nagoya features multiple competing rail networks, with their stations positioned close together for convenient transfers.

What to Do at JR Central Towers
Part of the complex is the Marriott Associa Hotel, offering premium accommodations. The twin towers also house restaurants and bars on their upper floors, providing stunning city views. One of the biggest draws is the Takashimaya department store, a popular shopping destination featuring high-end brands, specialty stores, and numerous cafés and restaurants.

Whether you’re commuting, shopping, or dining, JR Central Towers is a must-visit destination in Nagoya.
