Abeno Harukas

Abeno Harukas is one of Osaka’s most iconic landmarks, standing proudly as one of the tallest skyscraper in Japan. Soaring 300 metres above the city, this architectural marvel offers breathtaking views, world-class shopping, fine dining, and cultural attractions, making it a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Osaka.

Abeno Harukas

Abeno Harukas opened in 2014 and was developed by the Kintetsu Group, a major railway and retail company in Japan. The name “Harukas” is derived from an old Japanese word meaning “to brighten” or “to clear up”, reflecting its vision of providing a bright and open space high above the bustling streets of Osaka. Built on the site of the old Kintetsu Department Store, Abeno Harukas transformed the Abeno district into a modern commercial and cultural hub.

Harukas 300 Sky Deck

The highlight of Abeno Harukas is undoubtedly Harukas 300, a spectacular observation deck spanning the 58th to 60th floors. Offering panoramic 360-degree views of Osaka and beyond, on clear days you can even spot Kyoto, Kobe, and as far as the Seto Inland Sea. The glass-walled deck creates an open, airy atmosphere, allowing visitors to truly take in the vastness of the Kansai region.

For an even more thrilling experience, Edge the Harukas lets adventurous visitors walk along the edge of the building, securely harnessed, to feel the sheer height of Japan’s tallest skyscraper.

Shopping
The Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Department Store is one of Japan’s largest department stores, stretching across multiple floors. From luxury brands to local boutiques, the store offers an extensive range of fashion, beauty, electronics, and specialty goods. The basement food hall is a paradise for food lovers, filled with delicious sweets, bento boxes, and gourmet Japanese delicacies.
