The Numaji Transportation Museum (formerly the Hiroshima City Transportation Museum) is a fascinating destination for all ages. Not only does it feature an extensive collection of planes, trains, and automobile models from the past, but it also showcases innovative exhibits that offer a glimpse into the future of transportation.
Opened in 1995, the museum is housed in a four-story complex and includes an outdoor kart track where, for an extra fee, visitors can take a spin in a range of pedal-powered and battery-powered vehicles.
Inside, the museum offers a café, gift shop, and a small library. While the library primarily contains Japanese books, the museum guide pamphlet is available in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean.
One of the highlights is the third-floor model city panorama, an intricate display that is sure to captivate both children and model train enthusiasts alike.
